2025 NYC Parks GreenThumb T-Shirt Design Contest

Submit your original design to the 2025 NYC Parks GreenThumb T-Shirt Design Contest based on the theme: Seeds of Resilience / Semillas de Resiliencia. Pick up a pen, crayon, pencil, or whatever you use to draw, and submit your artwork to our t-shirt design contest! The winning design will appear on GreenThumb t-shirts, worn by hundreds of gardeners all over the city. Applicants may submit up to three entries. Submission deadline: Sunday, January 19, 2025

Guidelines

1. Artwork must relate to the theme: Seeds of Resilience / Semillas de Resiliencia. 

2. Artwork may include text. The theme must be included in English and Spanish. GreenThumb will incorporate them if not included in the design. 

3. Artwork must be original and created by the applicant; no clip art allowed. 

4. Designs must be in black and white only. 

5. Artwork must be signed by the author. 

6. Open to all artists of all ages and backgrounds, but preference is given to GreenThumb gardeners. 

7. Entries must include name, address, garden affiliation (if applicable), and phone number. 

8. Submission must be sized to fit on 8.5” x 11” paper. 

9. If you are under the age of 18, please include your age on the entry. 

10. Preference will be given to designs by artists who have not won in the past. 

11. GreenThumb logo will be incorporated by NYC Parks into the winning design in consultation with the artist.
